It is a substance that is essential for the formation of nucleic acids, in hematopoiesis and has an irreplaceable role in the growth and development of the fetus. It plays a role in the process of cell division, supplying tissues with nutrients and oxygen and maintaining healthy blood vessels of the mother and fetus. According to studies, sufficient active form of folic acid in the body during pregnancy can prevent spinal cord defects, insufficient nutrition and development of the fetus or improper blood supply to the placenta.

Folic acid must be converted into an active form after entering the body, which is ensured by the MTHFR enzyme. Women who suffer from a gene mutation for this enzyme may have problems conceiving or carrying a baby to term. In our products, folic acid is contained in an already active methylated form, which means that it does not have to be activated after entering the body and the woman thus has an effective form of the vitamin available.
